Today I competed at True 2 The Game 2011 with my long time friend and brother Edwin aka Blakk. He was the one who inspired me to dance freshman year of high school. And today he inspired me once again. For those that don’t know he’s married and has a handsome son, my god son Jordan. Being a family man and a dedicated B-boy is not an easy task. He struggled to find a baby sitter in order to follow through with his commitment to competing with me today, and without any luck we ended up taking Jordan along with us. We ran pretty late, more late than usual, and made it just in time to compete, and made top 8 out of 44 crews that competed. Basically went into each battle with little to no warm up, Edwin went without warming up as he had to remain at the side of Jordan. Not to mention he injured his wrist the night before at practice, and he remained dedicated to competing, and still put it down! Thanks brotha for following through when you had many reasons not to! You are a true inspiration to me as a dancer and as a Man who takes care of all his responsibilities, and goes above and beyond to make ends meet and make things happen!
